Rochelle Weitzner Exits CEO Post at Pause Well-Aging

Says her ultimate goal was to use the brand as vehicle to eliminate the stigma associated with menopause

Rochelle Weitzner is leaving Pause, the beauty and personal care line designed for menopausal women that she founded in 2018. She made the announcement on her LinkedIn page today.

At press time, a successor had not been named.

In her announcement, Weitzner penned: “Creating this extraordinary, ground-breaking, and award-winning brand over the last 4 years and watching the difference our products have made to the lives (and skin) of thousands of menopausal women across several countries has been an honor beyond words. It has been so gratifying to read the daily testimonials from our valued customers, sharing how Pause has positively impacted their lives by relieving hot flashes and restoring self-assurance. These heartfelt accounts validate the transformative power of Pause.”

Weitzner said Pause made “an indelible mark” in the marketplace.

An Industry Veteran

Weitzner is a seasoned professional. Prior to fouding Pause, she has served as CEO of Erno Laszlo and former CFO at Laura Mercier Cosmetics and RéVive Skincare. (You can read more about her here in this Happi article).

“I am proud of the work we have done in helping shatter societal barriers surrounding menopause and introducing the menopause conversation into the beauty category. We personally forged a new path with media, retailers, and partners like Amazon, Google, Facebook, and QVC to help them better understand that menopause is a life stage, not a medical condition – a crucial distinction that has helped free menopause relief companies and products from existing restrictions in marketing and advertising,” Weitzner wrote.

Further, the executive said she was “especially proud of my personal efforts successfully influencing policy changes in this area, which have allowed other menopause beauty and personal care products to exist and thrive, expanding this new category as well as helping make more menopause-specific solutions available to all women.:

According to  Weitzner, her ultimate goal in creating Pause Well-Aging “was to use the brand and products as a vehicle to eliminate the stigma associated with menopause. Today, I leave this company proud in my belief that this goal is now well within reach of being achieved.”
